Electricity distribution poles

Jerol composite poles for overhead lines are used by utility companies seeking an environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and durable alternative. The poles are clean and pleasant to work with and climb – line workers can climb them safely and easily using standard climbing hooks.

Extreme strength and low weight

The pole is made from glass fibre-reinforced polyester. A solid, 3–4 mm coloured polyethylene shell covers the entire exterior of the pole. The polyethylene outer shell and the inner wall of glass fibre-reinforced polyester have high resistance to chemicals, moisture, pests, and vermin, as well as other forms of physical impact. Jerol poles are lightweight – for example, a Jerol G12 weighs about 200 kg, and a Jerol E16 weighs about 400 kg.

Maintenance-free poles

Composite poles require minimal maintenance. Inspection is carried out primarily visually, but also with a hammer when needed. The service life is estimated at 80+ years, based on practical experience and third-party testing.

An environmentally friendly alternative

The Jerol pole is an ideal alternative where EU REACH legislation prohibits the installation of creosote-impregnated poles – such as in playgrounds, parks, gardens, and recreational areas where there is a risk of frequent skin contact.

Environmental legislation also requires great caution in protected natural areas, as well as near waterways, water sources, and wells.

Product data – electricity distribution poles

Increased strength, increased stiffness, and lower weight

The service life is over 80 years. The material combination also results in low weight, making the pole particularly easy to install. It is also available in several different colours, is UV-resistant, and can be produced in both cylindrical straight and conical designs.
