Cable protection pipes
Jerol’s cable protection pipes for demanding crossings are classified as SRE-P. SRE-P stands for Skydd Rör Extra Svåra Förhållanden Plast (Protection Pipe for Extra Severe Conditions – Plastic) and is used for direct installation on the ground, for example on rock outcrops or bridges, in accordance with EBR KJ 41:1.
Long service life
They are unaffected by the surrounding environment and have a long service life with retained properties. According to recent tests and simulations of composite ageing characteristics, the technical service life of the cable protection pipe in Nordic climates is estimated to exceed 150 years.
Length and dimensions
Lengths range from 4–20 metres, depending on the pipe’s dimension. Other lengths are available upon request.
The pipe is manufactured with four inner diameters: Ø115 mm, Ø140 mm, Ø190 mm, and Ø240 mm.
Installation of cable protection pipes
The environmentally friendly cable pipe is used for crossings over ditches and streams without impacting the environment. The pipe is non-toxic, non-sticky, and leach-free. It can be installed in sensitive environments. The cable pipes can be transported together with other goods.
Product data – cable protection pipes
Jerol’s cable pipes are odour- and tack-free composite products made of glass fibre-reinforced polyester. A 3 mm thick shell of robust, coloured polyethylene covers the entire exterior of the pipe, effectively protecting it from weather and UV exposure. The combination of glass fibre-reinforced polyester and polyethylene offers high resistance to chemicals, moisture, pests, and other types of impact.
