Why use Jerol poles?
Jerol’s composite poles are produced for the power grids of the future, with long durability and environmental awareness. Long service life, easy to transport and store, and manufactured in Sweden.
Extreme strength and low weight
The polyethylene outer shell and the inner wall of glass fibre reinforced polyester plastic have high resistance to chemicals, moisture, pests, and other forms of physical impact. The pole weighs significantly less than a wooden pole – for example, a Jerol G12 weighs about 200 kg and a Jerol E16 about 400 kg.
Maintenance-free with a long service life
The Jerol pole requires little maintenance in the field. It is inspected in the same way as traditional poles, both visually and with a hammer test.
Protects the environment
The Jerol pole is a perfect alternative in situations where, according to the EU’s REACH legislation, creosote-impregnated poles may not be installed – for example in playgrounds, parks, gardens, and recreational areas where there is a risk of frequent skin contact.
Environmental legislation also requires great caution in protected natural areas, as well as near watercourses, water sources, and wells.
Various pole dimensions
Jerol poles are named according to their load capacity, with classifications in the same way as for wooden poles. The classes N, G, E, S, and S+2 are used. The pole length is stated in metres. The wall thickness varies depending on pole length and load requirements – from 10 mm to 25 mm.
Several installation methods
The Jerol pole is buried to the same depth as wooden poles. It can also be installed with rock bolts, in a pipe with loose fill, or in soil with a composite pressure bed underneath.
Work environment and transport
General safety regulations for processing must be followed. The product is non-toxic. The poles can be transported together with other goods, and no permit is required for intermediate storage.
Cost-saving
By choosing composite poles, it is possible to reduce the number of mast points along the line. We assist with calculations when converting from wooden poles to composite, thereby optimising the pole choice for each point.
Short delivery time
With factories in Sweden and Norway, we have geographical proximity to the market, enabling flexible deliveries and short lead times. With full control over the production of the poles and installation, as well as experienced engineers, we can adapt the delivery to the project specifications in dialogue with you as the customer. Our goal is to maintain delivery times of 4–6 weeks.
