History
Jerol Industri was founded by Rolf Jernström and colleagues in 1999, and the following year the factory in Tierp was completed. The Jerol pole is produced from raw material to finished pole and consists mainly of glass, polyester, and polyethylene.
2001 – Collision-safe lighting poles
In 2001, the first deliveries of collision-safe lighting poles were sent to customers in the Nordic region. In the years that followed, a large number of crash tests were conducted, and in 2008 Jerol obtained CE marking for all traffic products. Prior to this, the export of sign and signal poles to England and several other European countries had already begun.
2004 – Sign and signal poles
In 2004, the first deliveries of collision-safe sign poles were sent to England. In the following years, sales increased, several crash tests were conducted, and we delivered poles also to Spain and France. In 2008, we obtained CE marking for all traffic safety products.
2008 – Electricity distribution poles
In 2008, development of the Jerol power distribution pole began in collaboration with Skellefteå Kraft, and the following year a test section was installed in their network. In the years that followed, interest and sales of the power distribution pole continued to grow, and Jerol delivered poles to hundreds of projects in both Sweden and Norway.
2024 – Increased production and new pole series
Today, we are proud suppliers of a sustainable, high-quality composite pole and work closely with the Comrod Group, which acquired Jerol in 2021.
2026 – New production facility in Norway
A new facility for the production of Jerolstolpar V2 opens at Tau, Norway. The new facility will be a significant investment in future capacity, quality and technology and will replace current production in Tierp (Sweden) and on Jørpeland (Norway). Jerol continues to have a strong presence in Sweden through sales and customer support.
